Ipanema Beach – One of the Finest in Rio de Janeiro Brazil
The illustrious Ipanema Beach is a jewel of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. This beach is mentioned in songs and has made the Brazilian bikini well-known. Although it is regarded as an urban beach, it is still one of the hotspots of Brazil and the crowds flock to this beach every year. The weather at this place is warm, the water is crystal clear and the sand is white. Given that a lot of people flock here, the beach itself is jam packed. So while you are there, it is a good opportunity for some great socializing and people watching.
You can get some refreshments from the street vendors that happen to come by while on vacation there. It wouldn’t be hard to find a cabana or hotel lounge for your refreshments, which is an invigorating treat to those who travel to Ipanema Beach. The snacks consist of usual munchies in addition to seafood. Another local flavor you can experience from a street vendor is coconut milk that is directly extracted from coconut.
There are assortments of facilities alongside the curved beach for those who wish to tread away from the beach for a little while. Happening on Sundays is the Hippie Fair presenting art from local artists and various musical instruments. You can listen to local musicians perform in the streets while strolling around the Hippie Fair. You do not have to be too concerned about dress codes because the Hippie Fair is being held outdoors for the most part. Just stride along the beach wearing your beach outfit and enjoy your trip way back into the era of hippies.
If you desire shade, you will have to rent a beach umbrella as there is no shade located on Ipanema Beach. The sun will be glaring on you as it ascends in the mornings because the beach faces the east. Thus, an umbrella will be ideal all through the early mornings as the sun is rising up. Midmornings to early afternoon hours are the best times for tanning times. Keep in mind to bring sunscreen even if you plan to rent an umbrella because the climate here is tropical and it is still best to protect your skin.
Even though this is one of the finest South American beaches, water sports are not offered up here. As an alternative, sports are being played on the beach such as beach volleyball and soccer. This is the perfect place to try your hand at playing soccer in the sand for those who love playing soccer. You can join in various games happening all over the beach. And although you are not an ardent sports player, you’ll surely enjoy watching others participate in these games.
June through August is their winter months with temperatures running around 12°C to 18°C. Therefore, this is not the best time of year if you are expecting to get pleasure from playing in the ocean waters off of Ipanema Beach. The warmest times of the year to take a tropical vacation to Ipanema Beach in Brazil are December to March. The weather has a tendency to run around 25°C to 35°C during these months.

Oh I love your theme esp. the blue jeans giving a sense of rugged and freedom. Yes the beach is really beautiful, just like in Malaysia and Thailand. Maybe you should come and visit SE Asia and see for your self.tq
That is definitely a beautiful beach to visit for vacation… a top honeymoon or anniversary destination for beach lovers.
There are so many wonderful beaches in the world that makes it almost impossible for tourists to decide for the best. Brazil is on my itinerary list for a long time, I’ve been to Hawaii and other exotic places but I’ve never been to South America. Should I expect something different from what I already experienced?

Ipanema Beach is definitely a fine beach. I’d probably say that it’s one of the best in South America (not just Rio) and worth visiting if you’re in the area. Nice article and pictures.
